this world could have been so many things and so could I
is this resignation right?
don't show my teeth, don't call that phone
a mechanical fantasy come to life
bright pink, again and again
riding his bike in the rain
long coat flowing out behind him
and you sing
‘I think I'll move back to the country’
well you won't, you'll get a job at the mall
and maybe I won't get a job at all
I like to think it could bring me back
if I lie facedown on the couch for long enough
spaced out, pumped full of dilaudid again
I could still feel as much as I like to think I used to feel then
but in truth I never felt that much
and it's just the first twenty five or so spring days of the year
that bring me back there now
and then it's gone
essentially continuation of JB - both bands are just Sam, with various ppl helping sometimes. check out the songs "together in the big black car", "all the lonely nights" & "before my telephone rings" Julia Brown
Julia Brown formed out of the ashes of this band in 2013, our first release (to be close to you) was supposed to be a new TS album. In 2015 we changed back, then to APC Listen to the song "Violets" Julia Brown
another indie-pop record VERY similart to our debut "to be close to you". written, recorded & released only a few months after TBCTY - recorded w/ a tape deck - lo-fi as hell. I (Sam) did it alone Julia Brown

When I was trying to find new music in 2017 I came across "Teen Suicide". Teen Suicide's music was always on my headphones, whether it was at school, or going out for a night drive. Their music being so relatable and melancholy but also very upbeat was something that I needed, especially since I listen to a lot of slow paced soft music. vampswag
Toronto rivals San Francisco as the North American capital of jangle pop as evidenced by this new record of sunny jams from the Motorists. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
